Enchanting Mangrove Forest. Scary Crocodiles, beautiful birds and many more to discover. The boat ride from Gupti to Dangmal is picturesque. Visit during the winter season, preferably between 15th Nov to 15th Feb to witness maximum no of Crocodiles. If you have enough time in hand, Have a boat ride from Gupti to Khola (Both are the Entry Point to Bhitarkanika by Waterway) So that You Can view maximum Crocodiles and cover almost entire accessible waterways and have a feeling of roaming in Amazon Rainforest. Migratory Birds can be seen during winter.
There's absolutely no way to explain the beauty of this place in the most right way. It is definitely a heaven for nature enthusiasts. Look our for crocodiles, monitor lizards, deers.My favorite: Black kingfisher.

Km of area.Bhitarkanika eco tourism has 3 option to chose from for night stay.1. Gupti 2. Dangmal 3. HabalikathiAll the three has their own charm and advantages.My 1st preference was Habalikathi, but it was closed during Oct 2021. So I opted for Dangmal.First things first.The road to the nature camp, is through kendrapada---> Pattamundai--->Rajnagar--->Dangmal.Road is extremely good and the scenic beauty is great all though the journey.The guest houses are named from the jungle itself.1. Bani Bhavan2. Hental Bhavan3. Chittal Bhavan4. Sundri BhavanAll the rooms can be booked through Odisha Eco tourism website.Highlights:1. The rooms are located strategically at position where there is availability of basic requirements, facilities, also are placed such a way that in case of any natural calamity rescue will be swift and fast. But at the same time one can enjoy wild life right from there guest house room.2. Boating facility to the core jungle is vailable with an extra cost (Boating charge). I suggest it is a must to do and not to miss it at any cost.3. During the boat ride and Safari one can enjoy sight seeing of crocodile, deers, monitor lizard, wild boar, water monitor lizard, kingfisher birds, and migratory birds.4. During night deers, boars, monitor lizards comes right upto the guest house.5. The caretakers are local people who are very much helpful. Some of them have good knowledge and experience on wildlife.6. There is a museum and it is extremely helpful in understanding about crocodiles.If you are planning for Bhitarkanika, than don't hesitate and plan immediately.
It's awesome... Just heavenly feeling. The river is full of crocodiles and the sides are mangroves forest. You will find plentiful if crocodiles and beautiful deers grazing at both sides. Migratory birds with greenery takes you to another level. Well arranged boats . A lots of guest house and cottages are available to feel the night in the jungle. Must must visit this place with family n friends. Breathtaking n memorable.... These few words are not enough to describe this.
